Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect the information you share with us.

Effective date: September 12, 2026

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy covers basewear.us and the orders you place on it. The store is operated by CARING AND CONCERNED INC in Fontana, California, and we sell and ship within the United States only.

2. Information We Collect

Contact details. Your name, email address, phone number, and the shipping and billing addresses you enter at checkout.

Order and transaction information. What you bought, the price, the order code, the status of your order and its tracking number.

Payment information. Card details are entered on PayPal's systems and processed by PayPal. We never see or store your full card number. What reaches us is confirmation that payment succeeded.

Messages you send us. Whatever you write to us, and anything you attach.

Device and usage information. Collected automatically when you browse: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.

3. The Design and Artwork You Provide

Personalized orders involve a category of information most stores never handle, so we set it out on its own.

What it is. The image files you upload, the team name, the player name, the numbers, the decoration method you chose, and the logo positions you selected.

What we do with it. We use it to produce and deliver your order. That is the only purpose.

What we do not do with it. We do not sell it. We do not use it in advertising or on our social media. We do not put it on a product for anyone else.

How long we keep it. No longer than 180 days after your order is delivered, then it is removed. We keep it that long so we can answer a payment dispute or a rights complaint raised after delivery. This matches section 11 of our Terms of Service.

Asking us to remove it sooner. Once your order has been delivered you can ask us to delete your uploaded files, and we will, unless a dispute about that order is still open.

4. Information About Other People in Your Order

Team orders usually contain other people's details: a player's name, a number, sometimes a child's name.

When you give us those details you are telling us you are allowed to. We use them only to make and deliver that order. We do not market to those people, we do not build profiles of them, we do not sell their details, and we delete them on the same 180-day schedule as the rest of your artwork.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To make and deliver your order, including processing the artwork and personalization details you submitted.
  • To keep you informed: order confirmations, production and shipping updates, tracking, and answers to your questions.
  • To protect the store: detecting and preventing fraud and abuse.
  • To send marketing emails, only if you opted in, and only until you unsubscribe.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
  • To improve the site, our products and our service.

6. How We Share Your Information

We share information with trusted third parties only as needed to operate our store: PayPal (payment processing - see paypal.com/privacy), shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) to deliver your order, and email/analytics providers to communicate with you and understand site performance. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a legal claim.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Essential. Needed for the site to work at all: keeping items in your cart, remembering your session, and security.

Functional. Remembering preferences such as items you saved to your wishlist.

We do not run advertising cookies on this site today. If that changes, we will name the provider here and update the date at the top of this page before it goes live.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may break parts of the site, such as your shopping cart.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for what a website should do when it receives one, so we do not respond to it. We are telling you that plainly because California law requires us to say either way.

We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request under California law.

We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across other websites over time through our site.

9. Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, and what we do with it.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined in California law.
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We will never give you a worse price or a worse service because you asked.

10. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
  • Your uploaded artwork: ask us to delete it after your order is delivered.
  • Your order data: ask us to delete it, subject to the tax records we are required to keep.
  • Cookies: control them in your browser settings.

11. How to Make a Request

Send us a message through our Contact page, or reply to any email we have sent you. You do not need an account, and you do not need to use the order tracking page.

So that we do not hand your information to someone else, we will ask you to confirm details we already hold, such as the email address used on an order and the order code. If we cannot match a request to a real record, we will say so rather than guess.

We respond within 45 days. If a request is complex we may take another 45 days, and we will tell you before we do.

12. How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Order and transaction records: up to 7 years, to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations.
  • Uploaded artwork and personalization details: no longer than 180 days after delivery.
  • Support messages: kept while they are useful for handling your case and any follow-up.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

13. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including SSL encryption on every page that collects personal information. Card numbers never reach our servers because payment is handled by PayPal, which removes the single most sensitive piece of data from our systems entirely.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at every step.

14. Children

Children cannot order from this site or create anything on it. Orders are placed by adults.

A youth jersey often carries a child's name or number, and that information reaches us from the adult placing the order. We use it only to make and deliver that order. We do not market to children, we do not build profiles of them, and we do not sell or share their details.

If you are a parent or guardian and you want a child's details removed from our records, send us a message through our Contact page and we will remove them.

15. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we post the revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. For a change that materially affects how we handle your information, we will also email customers who have given us an email address, before the change takes effect.

The version that applies to an order is the one published on the day the order was placed.

16. Questions and Complaints

Questions about this policy, or about how we handled your information, go through our Contact page. We reply within 1-2 business days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, tell us and we will escalate it internally rather than close the matter. You may also contact the California Attorney General's office.
